Driving in BC

A camera system with constantly updated shots is located on all highway routes within British Columbia.  Via the internet, visit the three cameras located on Highway 37 between Kitimat and Terrace.  See them on the BC Ministry of Transportation site as well as driving conditions.

Please note that winter driving requires a good set of snow tires.  Be aware and cautious of the wildlife that may catch you by surprise as it crosses the road.  Bear, moose, fox, and porcupine are often crossing northwestern roads.

Circle Tours are available for drivers of BC highways.  Kitimat and Kitamaat Village can be easily accessed on your Heritage Discovery Circle Tour. All BC highways follow original historic trails of explorers, settlers, and prospectors.  They also provide many opportunities to experience and learn about the rich arts and culture of First Nations people within B.C.

Visit the BC Ministry of Transportation, Tourist Information site for more driver information.
