Kitimat has its downtown core, City Centre, which includes owner-operated boutiques and services located at City Centre Mall and Mountainview Square. Service Centre is a short drive away across Kitimat River over the Haisla Bridge.
City Centre Mall
City Centre Mall is Kitimat’s most popular meeting, shopping, and public space. There is customer service that no big box outlet can match in an environment that is clean, safe, warm and friendly, making City Centre Mall truly “The Heart of Kitimat”. There are more than 30 services located in one building, including fine retail outlets, a bank, restaurants, professional offices, and more. The Mall is also the venue for one of the town’s popular annual events, the Kitimat Idol & Idol Junior Contest.

Mountainview Square
Visit Mountainview Square in Kitimat’s downtown centre for freshly baked goods, groceries, office supplies, women’s clothing, gifts, and lunch. The Square also includes a government liquor store, optical retailer, and doctor’s offices.
Service Centre
Service Centre is the place to find all your building and industrial supplies and needs. There is also a furniture store and additional services such as auto and marine parts, sales, and repair. You can even get a great meal!
